About the FUSO Head Office Relocation

FUSO Corporation (hereinafter “FUSO”) will move its head office (location of registered head office) to Kagawa Prefecture, the original home where FUSO was founded, as of April 1, 2026, and change the relevant organization’s name to the Shikoku Head Office. Going forward, FUSO will continue to maintain head office functions in Tokyo, taking actions to enhance its corporate and business management, ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster, and strengthen its management base through a dual head office structure with failover head office functions across both Kagawa and Tokyo.

Background of Head Office Relocation
Modern Japanese society is facing a shrinking population and declining growth in its economy, making upkeep increasingly difficult for industry and lifestyle infrastructure, especially in rural areas. Water infrastructure is also facing challenges such as aging, increasing maintenance and management costs, and a shortage of engineers. Even amid this backdrop of the times, in order to maintain and update water infrastructure in a sustainable manner into the future, it will be necessary to review the conventional expansion-based approach to maintenance and operation, and to restructure in an efficient and flexible way according to demographic trends and regional characteristics.

In order to respond to these changes in the environment, FUSO will use Kagawa Prefecture, where the company was founded, as a core hub to study, develop, and demonstrate the solutions necessary to build models for sustainable maintenance, renewal, and operation of water infrastructure tailored to regional characteristics, and to create leading best practices (community-rooted implementation models) for lateral deployment to regions facing similar challenges.

■ Network Strategy for Functional Consolidation and the Role of the Dual Head Office Structure
The Shikoku Head Office has many facilities and functions, including the FUSO Technocenter, steel pipe plant, distribution center, and training center, in addition to sales, procurement, engineering, operation management, R&D, and digital solutions. By strengthening these functions in an integrated manner, the Shikoku Head Office will be positioned as a solution creation base to connect water infrastructure to future generations.

The Tokyo Head Office will be positioned as an alliance strategic base to develop and commercialize leading best practices domestically and internationally by strengthening business planning and development functions such as external collaboration, information dissemination, and marketing, in addition to current functions.

In addition, FUSO will strengthen business continuity planning (BCP) by distributing corporate functions and mission-critical systems to locations in both eastern and western Japan. FUSO will establish a robust management structure allowing the company to maintain business operations even in the event of a large-scale disaster such as an earthquake directly under the Tokyo metropolitan area or in the Nankai Trough.

FUSO will continue to take on the challenge of solving water infrastructure issues and contribute to local communities.
